The River City 16 inch Moving Birds Feed Nest with Painted Flowers Cuckoo Clock is an eight-day mechanical movement clock with painted flowers. The animated feeding birds feed the nest for the cuckoo call. Two large wooden weights drive the time and cuckoo. It is hand crafted with wood from the Black Forest in Germany. It sounds once on the half hour and the full hour on the hour. A night shut-off mechanism disables the cuckoo during sleeping hours. To wind your clock, firmly pull the free ends (ring ends) of the chains to raise the weights to the base of the clock. Eight day clocks need to be rewound weekly.
